Dear Y Community & Beyond:
I am a local community-based artist who collaborates with people
to create “works of art” that express people’s
ideas and thoughts about work, community and how we communicate
with one another.
Please complete the questions below in full sentences. Excerpts
from your responses will be machine embroidered onto the towels
that are passed out to Y members. Y staff and members will see the
ideas and thoughts of the community as they hand out or receive
a towel. The project will debut on August 13 at the Gloucester New
Arts Festival.
There are many ways to submit your questionnaire: enclose your
statement in an envelope and give to someone at the YMCA front desk,
mail the statement to 9 Beacon Street, Gloucester, email it to llepionka@yahoo.com,
or leave a verbal statement at 978-283-1308.
The questionnaire, press release and other project details can
be found on the project website, www.searts.org/lara.html. You can
copy and paste the questions from the website into an email and
send your responses to llepionka@yahoo.com. Sponsorship is not necessary
to participate in this project. All statements are due by Thursday,
July 21.
